QuakeNotch 4.1 is here! Now, free to use!
Hello my amazing cute users! 🐾
Since QuakeNotch 4.0, I worked hard for the amazing new features and improvements that make QuakeNotch even more delightful to use and now, QuakeNotch 4.1 is here and it's free to use! 🎉
In this update, we have extremely useful new dream features that make your terminal experience even more delightful and efficient.
New Terminal Features
On our Quake Terminal, we have two new amazing features; new Terminal File Picker, new Terminal Text Selection Mode and new Terminal Command Blocks.
Terminal File Picker
The new Terminal File Picker allows you to easily navigate and select files seamlessly while you type on your shell.
You can navigate and pick files and folders and insert their paths directly into your terminal commands, seamlessly!
You can open the new Terminal File Picker with Command + O while typing in your terminal.
I think this feature is just purrfection! 😻
Terminal Text Selection Mode
The new Terminal Text Selection Mode allows you to easily select and copy text on your terminal buffer with only a few keystrokes. No more cumbersome mouse selections!
The default toggle shortcut to enter the Terminal Text Selection Mode is Cmd + Shift + M; you can change it.
I think this feature is also absolutely pawsome! 🐾
Terminal Command Blocks
We already had fancy shell command and prompt separators, but now with Terminal Command Blocks, each command and its output are visually grouped together, making it easier to read and manage your terminal history.
QuakeNotch now has Clipboard Manager
The new Clipboard Manager allows you to easily manage and access your clipboard history directly from QuakeNotch. You can quickly paste previously copied items without having to switch between applications.
Clipboard manager understand your copied snippets are code snippets or not; supports all types like texts, code snippets, images, multiple files, etc.. and allows you to filter and navigate via keyboard, seamlessly.
The default shortcut for opening the Clipboard Manager is Cmd + Shift + Esc; you can change it in the settings.
QuakeNotch's clipboard manager is safe and secured. It stores your clipboard history encrypted locally on your device with following Apple's recommended privacy and security protocols.
I think this feature is also extremely handy! 🐾
Now, you can pick your QuakeNotch screen
This was the most requested feature that my users have been asking me for! Now, you can easily pick which screen QuakeNotch should appear on.
Just right-click QuakeNotch and you'll see your screens on Notch Screen menu. Select the screen you want or set it to main-screen QuakeNotch to appear on.
QPilot Agent Improvements
The QPilot Agent has received several improvements in this update, making it more efficient and responsive. You can now enjoy more consistent and smarter on-device privacy-friendly QPilot Agent experience.
Work on a project
Now, you can set a project folder for your QPilot conversations.
QPilot now can use interactive prompts on shell
Now, QPilot can interactively answer prompts on the shell commands it runs.
You can also interact with the prompts directly on QPilot conversation UI, making it more convenient to handle shell interactions; or QPilot Agent will take care of them.
QPilot Harness Improvements
On QPilot Harness, we have these improvements:
- Improved generic harness consistency and stability
- Better compaction
- Shell command execution improvements
- Improved, tested and verified for more scenarios
Even more efficiency
With the previous major update QuakeNotch 4.0, we had huge improvements in performance and efficiency. In QuakeNotch 4.1, I optimized QuakeNotch even more, making it faster and more responsive than ever before.
One more little thing
Now, we havea new special notch icon, meet our new adorable Alien! 👽 🛸
